Welby Utah Stake Pioneer Trek
July 14th- Family Gathering and Meeting
July 15-July 18
From our awesome youth who reported on their trek experience on Sunday, we learned:
-Family is important, whether they are a trek family, a ward family or a real family.
-The testimonies of our friends strengthen us.
-It is amazing that Heavenly Father trusted a 14 year old boy to restore the gospel.
-Priesthood blessings make is possible for us to overcome obstacles.
-Prayers are answered. Answered prayers helped our ancestors cross the plains, even groups of pioneer women who didn't have men to help them on the journey. Heavenly Father will answer our prayers, too, and be on our side.
-We can feel Heavenly Father with us on our journeys.
-When we move forward with what Heavenly Father has asked of us, our attitudes can change.
-Through all the trials and obstacles, pioneers had fun, laughed and even had time for practical jokes.
-When we open up and participate, things work out and we can even receive personal revelation.
-The world may see as "weird", but we can learn a lot from dressing up and studying pioneers.
-If you want people to bond, throw them in the sagebrush and dirt.
-Heavenly Father has a plan for us. He is mindful of us and His plan is always better.
-Even though most youth said they didn't want to go, nobody regretted going to trek.
-If we go into things with the right attitude and ask Heavenly Father for help, He will help us.
